Figurabilità. Pittura a Roma negli anni Sessanta

The first room of the MAMbo collection is rearranged (from 22 January 2020) around one of the best known and sought after works of the permanent collections: Funerali di Togliatti by Renato Guttuso.

The exhibition documents the emergence of a young generation of painters in Rome in the 1960s, in dialogue with the artistic research and political positions of Guttuso, considered the most authoritative Italian figurative painter of the time. Works by Franco Angeli, Tano Festa, Giosetta Fioroni, Sergio Lombardo, Renato Mambor, Titina Maselli, Mimmo Rotella, Mario Schifano and Giuseppe Uncini are related to the impressive painting by Guttuso.
