Museo Morandi ist the widest and most significant public collection dedicated to Giorgio Morandi.

Origins of the museum
Museo Morandi has been open thanks to a considerable donation by the artist's sister Maria Teresa Morandi, together with an important group of works already part of the heritage of the Galleria d'Arte Moderna di Bologna.
From the date of its inauguration, the museum's seat was Palazzo d'Accursio, in Piazza Maggiore, until 27 october 2012, when it was moved to MAMbo due to the earthquake occured in the same year.

Transfer at Ex Forno del Pane
From 18 november 2012 the museum has been hosted at Ex Forno del Pane building which hosts also the collections of MAMbo - Museo d'Arte Moderna di Bologna.
